Wednesday February 8, 2012 the Eyer Family welcomed Crew Michael Eyer.

Our family is complete.

Here is Crew's story.....

Wednesday, Brian and I got to the hospital around 3 pm. for our scheduled c-section at 5 p.m. Well we thought it was going to be at 5 p.m.....As we were sitting in the registration room 3 pregnant women walked in thinking they were in labor. Brian and I looked at eachother wondering if we were going to be on time.

Well, a nurse came and got us took us to a room got me all hooked up to IV, signed paperwork, hooked up the fetal monitor, got a lovely gown on, etc.

At this point I was having contractions like I had been having the last couple of days. The nurse said "wow you are having some good contractions." I think they were mostly coming so consistently because I hadn't eaten or drank anything since 7:30 am that morning.

So, after we are all ready to go and we think they are coming to get us and wheel us back (it is 4:58p.m) the nurse says "Bad news....You are going to be delayed a bit."

"A lot of pregnant women just came in and I have to go deliever a baby." "We are short staffed." "We are hoping that we will take you back at 6pm"

oooooook. Well what can you say. So, Brian got the ipad out turned on a netflix show climbed in bed with me and we watched How I Met Your Mother.

We had to kill some time. :)

So my experience with this c-section was MUCH better. I was awake the whole time and let me tell you it was the weirdest experience ever. Your body is numb but you can feel all this movement and TONS of pressure. It felt like a 300lb. man was sitting on my chest.

When I had to feed Crew this is how that conversation went

Camden: What's Crew going to eat?

Mommy: He's going to drink milk.

Camden: How's he going to get milk?

Mommy: From my boobs

Camden: How is milk going to get in your boobs?

Mommy: Well after Crew was born milk starts to fill up in my boobs, but its not like the milk you drink. You drink milk from the fridge.

Camden: Why, because your milk is SOUR? (HAHA)

Mommy: umm yeah ok Camden

When Camden came back to the hospital the next day he asked me

"Did Crew grow yet?"

"Can he walk around?"

I guess he thought he would be growing a lot faster. :)

Last Night As A Family of 3

Things are going to be soo different for this little man tomorrow.........

Our family of 3 will grow to 4.

The fact that we know it is all happening tomorrow makes it so real.

Tonight after Brian and I read Cam his bedtime stories I was the one that wanted to lay with him for a couple of minutes since I would be in the hospital for the next couple of days. This is how our conversation went....

Mommy: Cam, things are going to be a little different tomorrow? Gramdee will be putting you to bed because mommy will be at the hospital with Pickles.

Cam: Is daddy going to be there too?

Mommy: Yes daddy is going to stay with mommy tomorrow night but then on Thursday he will put you to bed.

Cam: How is Crew going to get here?

Mommy: Remember Dr. Sun? Well he is going to take him out

Cam: How is he going to take him out?

Mommy: There will be a little line on mommy's belly and then he will get him out

Cam: Like an owie??

Mommy: Well yeah but it will be ok

Cam: (As tears start to form in his eyes) I don't want you to have an owie and daddy won't want you to have an owie either

Mommy: (of course I start to have tears form too because he is just the sweetest) Its ok it won't hurt and the best part is we get Baby Pickles to take home after that

Cam: Will he go back in there then? (pointing to my belly)

Mommy: Haha no he is here to stay and mommy and daddy have enough love for everyone.

I thought this was going to continue for a while and then he moves on to where I was going to lay at the hospital.

Then, he moves on to asking me about the T-Rex in Land Before Time (Oh the mind of a 2 almost 3 year old)

I just love it.

Dear Camden,

Things are going to change for you tomorrow. Things are going to change for all of us, but mommy and daddy want you to know that you are so special to us. We have been thinking about how all of this is going to affect you these last couple of days, and how your routine and life will be different but I know that we are giving you an amazing gift only we can....a brother. We have enough love for everyone in our family. And, we are so excited to share all of that love. We know that you are going to be an awesome big brother because you are so sweet and have such a big heart. You have been talking to Baby Pickles inside mommy's belly since we told you he was growing in there so he is going to know exactly who you are when he comes out. We just wanted to let you know how much you mean to us. You are such a wonderful, happy, smart, boy. You are the only you in the whole world!!

We love you so much!

First Skate!

We took Camden to Peoria Polar Ice Den today for his FIRST SKATE!

He absolutely loved loved loved it. We weren't sure how he was going to like it, and every time daddy needed a break (a little hard on his back) he said "ok daddy I will take a 2 min break and then I want to go back on."

He was quite sad to leave. :(

And, while I was sitting out on the benches watching the boys a "hockey dad" who had 8 year old triplet boys saw Cam and asked if we were getting him into hockey and if we wanted a pair of skates. How cool is that???

Maternity Pics!

I know most of you have seen these already. I just wanted to have all of my favorites posted on the blog so they will be added to the blog book. :)

It was so much fun doing these with Amy Hill. She is so great at making you look good even when you don't feel your best :)

There are a couple new ones at the end from Dunkin' Donuts.....every pregnant girl's dream to take pictures at Dunkin' Donuts. HAHA. It was great and special to us because going to get doughnuts is Brian and Cam's thing to do every Saturday morning while mommy sleeps in. I love every minute of it!!!

Pregnancy update: I am 38 weeks pregnant. Baby is now just gaining weight and getting nice and plump. I had a doctor's appointment today and everything looks great. Baby's head is down, heartbeat good, and measuring right on schedule.

I am so ready to have this baby out though. Last night my sleep consisted of waking up every 2 hours to pee because I was having a contraction and the baby was pushing so hard on my bladder I literally had to roll out of bed to get to the bathroom. I also had charlie horse cramps in my calves on and off. AND my lovely heartburn was there all night too....the nice burning in your throat kind where I feel that if I opened my mouth fire might come out. Yeah it wasn't the best nights sleep.........BUT its all for that little nugget growing inside of me and I wouldn't want it any other way. I can't wait to meet him!!!!!

AAARGGH MATEY!

As I start to write this post I realize we only have 2 MORE weekends left before this baby boy comes into our lives. OMG! And, those two weekends are filled up. This coming weekend Brian and I are taking a little "Babymoon." Sarah and Kevin got us a hotel stay in Phoenix for Christmas so we decided to use it this weekend before little nugget arrives. I am pretty excited.

Then, next weekend my mom will be here! WOW so fast!

This past weekend we attended our friend's little boy's birthday party. It was for Evan and it was a PIRATE PARTY all the way! The invitation said to come in pirate attire so mommy and daddy decided they should add a little pirate flair as well.

So, as of today I am 37 weeks pregnant. I'm not sure if it is at the end of 37 weeks or beginning but either way this week I am considered FULL TERM.

Baby is the size of a watermelon. Yeah that just reminds me of the line in Dirty Dancing "I carried a watermelon." I am literally carrying a watermelon around all day and I am exhausted.

I feel much more tired these last couple of days kinda like how I felt in the first trimester.

I am also getting braxton hicks contractions ALL of the time. They are not getting more painful and they are not coming consistently so I know it is not labor but my body is definitely getting ready. I would love for him to stay in there a couple more weeks. ;)

I really can't believe we are in the final weeks of being a family of 3. It is so crazy how fast it went by. I am still feeling really great except for sleep. I wake up ALL of the time to go to the bathroom or change sides with the body pillow and get comfortable. But, with our new bed Brian says he can't even feel me moving around so he's getting a good sleep....nice for him ;)

I am so ready to not be pregnant anymore but I don't know if I am ready to have 2 kids.

I'm really nervous. But, I know it will all work out and mamas out there do it all the time.

Last weekend, my awesome sister threw me a "sprinkle" (baby shower). I had about 10 friends meet up for some yummy snacks, drinks, games, and gifts. It was great. She did such a good job. I DID NOT take enough pictures :(

Sarah something on pinterest and told me about it a while back where you have everyone at your shower decorate a different letter of the alphabet and bring it then the mom hangs it in the nursery.

As soon as we get all of the letters I will post a picture. Brian and I are going to hang them this weekend.

Everyone did such a great job and they were all sooo different and turned out really cute.

Then, after my sprinkle Amy Hill took my maternity pictures. I am still waiting for some but here is a preview. She is awesome!

FUNNY BUGS!

A week late but better late than never......

Camden had his FIRST funny bugs class last Wednesday. We really talked it up before he went because he kept asking if I was going to be in there with him. A little hard to adjust since I have been taking him there since he was 6 months old and I have always been in the class with him. But, he did FANTASTIC!

He didn't cry, get upset, ask me to go in, come to the window a bunch of times.

He was such a good listener. :)

This was at one of the stations....he was pretending to sleep. I look in and see a little girl shaking him and saying wake up and he continued to play dead. What a goof.

Yesterday, was the second time he had class and he did just as good as the first. I really love it there and it will be so nice when the baby comes to sit and watch from the window while Cam is inside burning some steam and getting some good exercise. And, since I am his preschool teacher it is nice that he gets to go somewhere for his own thing and have another teacher.

Christmas in Illinois

The Tuesday after Christmas we made our trek to Illinois. The doctor didn't really recommend me flying after 32 weeks but I felt perfectly fine and knew I would be surronded by family and friends if anything was to happen.

So, here is our 2 week stay wrapped up in pictures......

Tuesday, we landed in Evansville, Indiana where Grandpa and Grandma Eyer were at the airport to pick us up. Cam put on his shy face (for about 5 minutes).

It was a little chilly for mommy but no snow and the big belly kept me warm. :)

We stopped by Uncle Jay and Aunt Jamie's house since it was half way between airport and Grandpa and Grandma's house. Cam got to play for a bit with his cousins Haylee and Brady. No pics :(

Then, we headed to Grandpa and Grandmas for some fun-filled adventures.

The next morning all ready to play outside. Luckily, Illinois was having some great weather for outside play.

I would have to say this was his best toy of the trip.

After about 10 minutes trying to get used to using the gas pedal and the steering wheel at the same time he was a PRO. He would drive all around and then even put it in reverse when he had to. It was pretty funny.

One of my favorite parts was watching all of the cousins have a dance party. Haylee the leader of the pack would designate who was to do what next and when to do their part AND the boys had their own plans.

Also, while we were in Brian's hometown we were able to visit his Grandma. It was great to see her. And, I got to capture this cute picture.

I know this picture looks like he is being grumpy but he said he was playing Santa.

And, if Santa didn't bring enough to Arizona Grandpa and Grandma made up for it in Illinois. Lucky little boy.

On, the Friday before NYE Brian and I left Camden with Grandpa and Grandma and we headed north about 2 1/2 hours to a wedding for a college friend. Brian was in the wedding so we had to go Friday for the dinner rehearsal.

It was soooo nice to have Camden stay with family for 2 days while we were away. Grandpa and Grandma said he was GREAT (not that they would say any different) and he didn't even ask about us he was having such a good time.

After those 6 days that seemed like a complete whirlwind Cam and I (Brian had to go back to AZ for work) headed to Chicago to see Gramdee, Grandpa Buzz, and Unkey D.

We were only at Gramdee's house for a short time because she had to travel back to New Jersey for work. So, then we were off again to Papa and Mimi's house.

One day while we were with my dad we met my Aunt Donna and Grandma at Chuck E Cheese so they could see us.

I got to see my grandma twice while I was there because the next day after chuck E Cheese I surprised her at her house with my Aunt Sue, cousin Ashley, and my other cousin's son Lucas.

Lucas and Cam are only about 6 weeks apart. They decided to get to know eachother better they would wrestle.

While we were at Papa and Mimi's house we got to see Papa bowl. Cam was so cute watching him. Everytime he was up he would say "Papa get a strike! Papa get a strike!" Then he would high five papa when he walked back.

He didn't even really want to leave when Mimi came to get us. Cam told me he wanted to be the bowling coach. haha.

He looks ready for his Hockey Tot class that starts in March. :)

After an almost 2 week stay both of us were ready to get back home and see Daddy. Cam also said a bunch of times he really missed Stinky the Garbage truck (his brand new toy from Santa).

Well, being 34 weeks pregnant and flying with a toddler I was a little bit nervous but I had the bag packed with activities as well as TONS of water for me. We sat all the way in the back to be close to the bathroom, and really I couldn't have asked for a better flight. I felt great and Camden was perfect!

The flight attendant kept commenting on how well behaved he was....those comments always make a mama proud right moms out there??

Here he is playing with his transformers. Grandma Eyer let him take a couple of daddy's old transformers home. He was in heaven!

Thank you to everyone in Illinois for the visits, gifts, and of course the great hospitality. We had a great time!

Family is the BEST part of Christmas

Our Christmas festivities started on Friday night when we got to enjoy a hockey game where the St. Louis Blues took on the Phoenix Coyotes. This was an important game because Brian had informed me earlier that day that since we have lived out here he had been to 12 blues hockey games and he had only been to 2 where they won. Those two games I wasn't with him :( Guess I wasn't much of a good luck charm. Sooooo we were all about cheering the blues on for a win. I had to prove my unlucky streak was over. haha.

When Brian first got the tickets from his parents we were going to go alone for a date night and have Sarah and Kevin watch Cam, but then his partner also got him tickets for the same game. We couldn't exchange them. So, we ALL went.

It was tons of fun!!!

Before the game started they did a honorary recognition of Keith Tkachuk a Coyotes player that also played for the Blues. It was pretty cool to see.

Cam LOVED it!

The first 20 min he spent on Brian's lap asking 400 questions about everything and anything he saw.

He was so into it. He kept asking when he could play hockey. :)

And, when he had to go to the bathroom during the intermission we had to run and go fast so he wouldn't miss the zambonis.

When the game was about over he was a bit sad. The whole way out to the car and in the car he kept saying "I'm sad because hockey is over." And he said "I want to stay there and sleep there."

Hockey is in his blood.

Saturday, Christmas Eve, we hung out for the most of the day watching Christmas movies and playing. Then we went to church for the Christmas Eve service.

Then, after church Sarah and Kevin came over and we all got in our Christmas pjs.

As soon as we are started talking about the night that Santa was going to come Camden knew it was time to sprinkle our reindeer food outside for Santa's reindeer.

We enjoyed our annual Portillos Italian beef sandwiches thanks to Gramdee :)

I can't believe next Christmas we will have another little one to add to this family picture.

We played games.

And right before bed we put out Santa's special treat and wrote him a note. Camden thought cake balls were the best choice for Santa.

Christmas morning started at 7 am. Camden woke up called for mommy and daddy and the first thing he said was "Did Santa come?"

I took a video of the entire day (way to long to post) but it will definitely be something I cherish for a long time. He was absolutely adorable the entire day. The excitement, the questions, the smiles, the laughter, being thankful, etc.

It was a great day.

It started with stockings.

Then his favorite gift of the day that Santa remembered and delievered to our house.

And of course it was followed by a lot more really cool presents for everyone.

We are so blessed.

Thank you again to the family that sent gifts to Camden. Hope you received the picture texts of him opening them. He loved them all.

Daddy spent the next couple of hours opening everything. What a good daddy!

Cam also enjoyed mommy and daddy's gift, the ipad.

Later that afternoon we deep fried a turkey.

But of course not before injecting it with the special sauce.

Sarah and Kev got us an awesome gift too....A BABYMOON. They got us a hotel stay in Phoenix for a weekend in January before Baby Pickles arrives. And, of course a cute little ticket that says 1 free babysitting night.

After we stuffed ourselves with snacks and turkey we took the dogs down to the grass area to play.

We were all still in our pjs. :)

It was a great Christmas.

We are truly blessed.

Camden hit a new milestone this past week!

He can ride his bike with the pedals now.....We are SO proud!

After outside play we came in so that I could cook some dinner and Camden decided to be the drummer boy to the Christmas music we were listening to.

Then he told me the drummer boy needed to go in his cage LOL

Christmas season is here!

I am so excited about this Christmas. Camden is at an age where he is really getting it! It is so fun. This past Sunday at church they started talking about the Christmas story and it is so cute because he can tell you exactly what happened. And, when you ask him "Why do we give gifts at Christmas?" He says "Because its Jesus' birthday!" I love it.

2 weekends ago Brian had his 31st birthday! I like to tell him that I am still 29 for a bit longer. :)

We went over to Sarah and Kevin's apartment and they made him a birthday dinner that included his favorite....BACON. We had bacon wrapped jalepenos stuffed with cream cheese, bacon wrapped pork tenderloin, and per Brian's request I made brownies with ice cream for dessert/cake. He loved every minute of it.

Later that day after Sarah and Kevin's apartment we went to Wal-mart for some grocery shopping and while we were shopping they announce that Santa was there and he was in the lawn and garden dept. SOOO we headed over there because Camden seemed VERY excited but we werent sure since we all remember last year meeting him....

DECEMBER 2010

So, we headed over there and this is how close he got. No tears. No whining. Seemed happy. But no lap.

He did get close enough for a high five....that's about it. :)

And after the high five he said he wanted Stinky the Garbage truck.

Also, funny thing after we were walking away Camden turns around and says "Santa, I hope you know how to make Stinky because he's hard." HAHA

Then we get back to shopping and he says "mommy I forgot to ask Santa where his reindeer were."

On the advent calendar that I made this past Saturday's message said that Camden will receive a video message from Santa and HE DID!

Pregnancy update:

I haven't updated a picture in a couple weeks....ooops

I am officially 29 weeks 6 days today!

Still no name. Room still not complete. not prepared.

We have time right??! Officially we have 10 weeks but basically 9 weeks because the doctor is scheduling my c-section at 39 weeks. AHHHHH

Baby is about 3 1/2 lbs. and the size of a head of cabbage. I am feeling him get the hiccups all of the time. And, Camden felt it last night when we were reading books. He just kept laughing. It was really cute.

Give Thanks With a Grateful Heart

Brian and I are so blessed and grateful for everything in our lives especially Camden and baby "Pickles" (Camden's name for baby).

We are so thankful for our home, our health, our wonderful family, and friends. We really couldn't ask for more.

Our Thanksgiving weekend started on Wednesday evening when Sarah, Kevin, cousin Ryan (camden calls him), Kevin's friend Derek,and our neighbors Jess and Daryl came over for some drinks and games.

Camden wanted to partake in the festivities of ping pong.

Then, Thanksgiving morning had to start out with our annual monkey bread.

We have to inject it with the "special sauce" before the fryer and everyone gets a chance to shoot.

Then, later that night Sarah and I got our lists and maps and headed out for some crazy Black Friday shopping!

Friday, we did a little bit of our Christmas decorating. Camden asked a million questions about everything and anything Christmas related. It was pretty cute.

Anytime I handed Cam an ornament it went on this branch- front and center :)

Then, we all hung out on the driveway with our neighbors good company and Sarah and Kevin. We looked pretty funny hanging out on the driveway with our couch....BUT in our defense it was already in the garage because we are trying to sell it on craigslist. LOL

I really can't believe Thanksgiving is this week, December 1st is next Thursday, I am in my 3rd trimester at 28 weeks, etc.

Where is time going???????

Last Friday, Cam and I headed to a big park near our house to meet some friends. Camden knew we were going to the park with the lake/pond and insisted on bringing his fishing pole that we haven't used since he got it for his 2nd birthday. (oops)

Well, I thought it was a great idea except we were just going to pretend fish because mommy did not have bait or the proper fishing equipment.

So, he just practiced his casting and reeling in.

He was loving it.....the fishing that is...not taking pictures so much.

Playing at the park and feeding the ducks was also a must.

Then, on Saturday Camden tried his first class at The Little Gym by himself. The funny bugs class starts at age 3 but we had a makeup class and decided to try the older class to see how he would do. I would love to put him in this class when the baby comes!

Overall he did really good. At first, he kept peeking in the window at Brian and I giving us a fake pouty face. Not sure what that was about.

During their station time parents were able to come in and help out for parent involvement week.

And, I think his favorite part was hockey at one of the stations. He still says this is his favorite sport. And, if you ask him what happens when he turns 3 he will say "daddy taking me to play hockey"

Later Saturday afternoon we had a family cooking session. We made 6 batches of noodles.

In Brian's family they put noodles on top of their mashed potatoes for big dinners like Thanksgiving and Christmas. I had never had this until I met Brian and I have to say what's not to like ....noodles YUM mashed potatoes YUM so put it together= DOUBLE YUMMO

Last Christmas we got the noodle attachement for our Kitchen aid mixer and it is so awesome and so much fun. We weren't planning on making that much but when we got started we just kept going.

Camden was a big help.

So now we have some for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the beginnings of my freezer stash of food/meals for when baby comes.

Check out Cam's turkey handprint from school. Mommys and daddys love these even if they get them every year. Right??!

And a song we have been singing in school. Aren't all 2 year olds like this....They will sing it loud and proud but then as soon as you turn on the video they become shy??

Pregnancy update:

3rd trimester 28 weeks. This pregnancy is going soooo fast. I am finally working on the baby's room. I will put up a picture when its done. I forgot to have Sarah take a picture of me before she left. :(

Maybe later this week after Thanksgiving....that will be a nice big belly pic :)

Tomorrow I have a doctor's appointment. I have the glucose screening.

Ewww gross.

Today we went to Kidstock. It was a kids event with a bunch of vendors promoting their businesses with activities for kids to do. It was at the Goodyear Ball Park. My boss at The Little Gym gave us tickets so Brian, Camden, Sarah, Kevin, and I all headed there this morning.

CAM IS ALL BOY!

He could care less about the bounce houses, face painting, etc. He wanted to go on the baseball field and play pretend baseball.

We did find some other stuff that he thought was pretty cool.

Mommy and daddy thought he was pretty brave holding all of these creepy crawlies and it seemed like no big thing to him. HAHA

And, even after all of that he said his favorite part of the day (we ask him every night before he says his prayers) was running on the baseball field.

Less than 100 days to go and Baby boy nugget will be here!

I really can't believe how fast this pregnancy is flying by. I have heard people say it all the time how it is so different the second time around and I am definitely experiencing all of that.

Here is a perfect example.....This is what Camden's nursery looked like when I was about 24 weeks pregnant.

I am getting better though. Brian got boxes of Camden's baby clothes out of the attic and I have been going through them, washing the newborn ones, and organizing the older ones.

AND, we do have our crib and dresser set up. The crib looks similar to Cams. It is another convertible one. We just loved how we could convert Cam's crib to a full size bed when he was ready.

Another thing different this time around is I forget that I am pregnant and I end up doing too much around the house or I forget to drink water throughout the day so I end up getting a lot of those braxton hick contractions. So, I need to chill a bit. Its a little hard when your adorable 2 1/2 year old is always READY to go. :)

I'm feeling great all in all. LOTS OF MOVEMENT! Camden has felt the baby kick and he says the baby is saying "ah oh get me out of here" haha.

I feel like I am still eating a TON. My favorite food right now is cinnamon toast crunch cereal....yum!

We still DO NOT have a name picked out. However, if you ask Camden we do have a name and he is very set on Pickles. He will not give it up. I think baby nugget will have a pretty cool nickname.

And, for all of you out there thinking it might be a D name you might be heartbroken because the names we are throwing out there do not start with D. Sorry to disappoint. :)

And, here is a funny video of Cam. He found a couple of his old toys when we were going through stuff for the baby. This was one of Kev's stocking stuffers last year...A fart toy. Camden thinks its hilarious of course until Sil took it out of the container.

Halloween 2011

Our Halloween festivities seemed to last for 2 weeks this year and I loved every minute of it. This is MOMMY'S HOLIDAY and I think I rubbed off on Camden. haha.

After the Halloween festivities last weekend Wednesday the kids dressed up for preschool. Here is Cam all ready for school.

Here is my wonderful group of kiddos. They are all soooo great!

Then, on Thursday mommy left for Salem, MA for a girls trip. I think the boys managed without me. Brian put together the babies crib and dresser. (THANK YOU again Grandma and Grandpa Eyer) And, then of course made the big box into a house for Cam. I will have to get some pics of the crib and the box house. :)

Monday on Halloween I followed in the tradition that my mom always did for me. Orange milk for Halloween and orange sprinkles on Cam's waffle.

He thought it was the coolest thing! (He told everyone at Little Gym later that day)

After Little Gym we headed to the park with our friends Natalie, Evan, and Ainsley. Evan brought a fun treat for Camden.

When we left the park Camden said "Evan is such a good sharer I love him." :)

Then, after a much needed nap Cam put on his costume and we headed to our other good friend's house to hang out with Jackie, Keith, Kaylee, and Brooke and walk around their block for some good ole trick or treating.

Awesome firetruck huh???? It didn't make it past the driveway though :(

He loved going trick or treating. This was the first year that he went. After, his bag got heavy he said he was ready to go back to Kaylee's house.

He was a trooper though!

And, then of course mommy and daddy picked their favorites :)

Pregnancy update:

25 weeks

Baby is the size of an eggplant. Little nugget #2 is around 13.5 inches long and weighs anywhere from 1.5 to 2.0 lbs. He is growing more fat and more hair. (That's what my little weekly alert says) :)

I really can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going. By this time when I was pregnant with Cam we had the nursery painted, furniture set up, clothes bought. And, I am sooo behind with this one. I know I still have time but all we have done is the crib and dresser. I need to start going through Cam's old clothes and organizing them for new baby.

I am having a TON of braxton hicks contractions where your belly just tightens up probably from all the walking this weekend. I just feel so good sometimes I forgot to take a break or drink water. I need to work on that. Little nugget #2 is still sitting very low so I am constantly using the bathroom as he kicks my bladder all of the time.

Not the best picture AT ALL with the scrubby clothes and no I do not have something growing out of my head...its on the wall :) But you get the idea of the growing belly.

Don't Make Me Call My Flying Monkeys

The post is titled that because that is what my Salem shirt said. I made everyone shirts for our Salem, MA trip. Other ones said things like "Good Witch Bad Witch it all depends on the moon," "Witch (No Costume Required)", etc.

This was the first trip I took away from both of my boys. I had a TON of fun but missed them terribly. My sister and I flew out on Thursday morning to meet my mom, grandma, Aunt Donna, Aunt Judy, and cousin Kristine. My Aunt Judy booked us this AWESOME room at an old house built in the 1800s that they had turned into a hotel.

Friday, we started the day by taking a cab to Salem for the witch happenings.

Here is Kristine and I at one of the oldest candy shops that had candy in this glass box from 100 years ago.

There were tons of shops that we stopped in. A lot of the shops had witch spell books, herbs, psychic readings, all kinds of stuff. We couldn't take pictures in those places.

The title is BOO because Camden is soooo into Halloween this year and every time he sees anything related to Halloween he puts his hands up wiggles his fingers and says BOOO in his "scary" voice.

He loves Halloween just like his mama ;)

Our Halloween festivities started this past weekend when we had a park playdate with some friends and mommy made some "spooooky" Frankenstein pudding cups. Its vanilla pudding dyed green and crushed oreos on top. So yummy and soo easy. The kids Loved it!

Then we headed off to the parking lot for a bike race. Do you remember the picture from a couple of months ago when we did this? The kids love it.

Cam can reach the pedals but refuses to do the pedaling...he would rather push with his feet.

Probably something we will work on this fall/winter. (Yes it is still in the 80s and 90s here..uggh)

Then, on Saturday mommy had to work at The Little Gym's Halloween party so Kevin brought him in his costume so he could enjoy the fun.

It was such a good time. Camden stayed up stairs with two of his other friends and partied as well. :) They had popcorn, snacks, watched movies, "wrestled", etc. He was up until 11:30 pm! Good thing he atleast slept in a bit and by sleeping in I mean 8:30am. :)

Pregnancy update:

I am 24 weeks today. Baby has gained 4 ounces since last week and I can definitely tell because even since last week I feel much bigger. Baby weighs a little over a pound and is almost 12 inches long. The only food aversion I have had this pregnancy is tomatoes which is so surprising because I used to LOVE tomatoes and could eat them like an apple like Cam, but I don't like them on anything and haven't this entire pregnancy. Other than that I am in love with all other food especially candy and chocolate probably because of all of the Halloween candy.

This Thursday I am going on a weekend getaway with Sarah to BOSTON! I am so excited. I am a little sad to leave my boys but I know they will do great. Sarah and I are going to Salem, MA with my mom, grandma, Aunt Donna, Aunt Judy, and cousin Kristine. We are all really looking forward too. So another update to come next week when I get back.

When the weekend just FLIES by....

Don't you just hate when the weekend just flies by?

When you are having so much fun doing so much stuff?

I hate it!

This weekend was just like that. Brian's parents got into town Friday night and I can't believe as I am writing this it is Monday afternoon and they are gone. :(

Camden had SO much fun with them. He was definitely sad to see them go. As we drove away from the airport we had to call daddy so that Camden could tell him he was sad. But, I know the time he spent with them this weekend he will be talking about for WEEKS.

Camden didn't get to see them until Saturday morning because they got in past his bedtime but in the morning it didn't take more than 5 min. for him to warm up.....maybe it was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles grandma brought. They were daddy's old toys.

He is so into transformers, ninja turtles, cars, and battle beasts. These were all toys that grandma and grandpa saved from when daddy was little and now they are Cam's favorites!

So, we started Saturday morning by heading to Tolmachoff Farms before it got to hot. (We were still sweating by the time we got there)

Grandpa and Grandma's turn

As soon as we got in the car he talked about carving his pumpkin. He wanted to do it right away so you can imagine the arguing when we told him he needed to nap first.

SO, as soon as he woke up it was CARVING time. He thought he was going to carve his little tiny one but we convinced him that it wouldn't work to well.

He said he wanted to carve a happy face. So, Grandpa and Grandma got started.

He touched the insides but decided it was a better job for Grandma to dig out.

On Sunday, we went to church and then out for some yummy breakfast. Then, we all spent a couple of hours working on Camden's Halloween costume. Hopefully it holds up till then because he is ALL about it now.

Pregnancy update:

POP! GOES THE BABY! I'm definitely showing now. :)

I will be 23 weeks tomorrow.

Baby boy is about 11 inches long and weighs about a pound. He is the size of a papya.

I feel him move around all of the time. It is even a little uncomfortable to sleep sometimes. Maybe because I LOVE to sleep on my stomach so of course anytime that I try to turn that way in my sleep I get woken up. I am so ready for it to cool down in AZ because I am running out of summer maternity clothes. I was given a TON of clothes from friends and they were all so cute however their torsos are a tad bit smaller and the shirts we were way to short already.

A lady at Little Gym said to me today Oh my gosh I didn't even know you were pregnant until I saw you today.

I love my life.

And, I love this little boy.

Here is Cam reading his book that we have been reading in school.

And, this video just makes me laugh out loud. Ok first it looks dangerous on how I actually captured it but I PROMISE my eyes were on the road the whole time. I held the camera over my shoulder in HOPES that I would catch this craziness.

It was actually cool enough to have all the windows open on the drive home from the Children's museum yesterday. This is what I listened too. :)

What a way to spend a Friday night!! Brian, Camden, and I found out if we were going to be welcoming a baby boy or a baby girl into our family.

If you haven't seen the video ....check this out before you read anymore. :)

Isn't my sister just the coolest? After, deciding that we did indeed want to find out Sarah held all the power for 2 1/2 days. WOW. And, was she good. She got emails, texts, and phone calls to spill the beans and she didn't.

And, here is the part Brian and I got to watch in the room. It is pretty long so you don't have to watch the whole thing just listen to what Camden says right around 37 sec. What a stinker?!

So, this adorable little face is going to have a baby brother. We really couldn't be more excited! My sister and I are so close and Brian and his brother are close that I am sooo glad I could give that to Cam. He is going to be an awesome big brother.

Happy MOMMY and DADDY

The built up excitement and anticipation for Friday night was almost unbearable. Walking up the stairs to Sarah and Kevin's apartment I actually had butterflies. And, as the looks of the hundreds of comments on facebook everyone else was on the edge of their seat wanting to know too.

I had a feeling it was going to be a boy. Mothers intution I guess ;) and to be honest once the reveal happened I really couldn't believe it was actually a boy. Its not that I was counting on a girl I just always thought I would have one of each or something. And, after the initial excitment wore off and Brian and I were headed to date night we talked about all the fun things we would encounter having 2 boys.

Like,

-sports practices and games

-wrestling in the living room or anywhere for that matter (and that will be when mommy has her own girl time getting a pedicure),

-more strong hands/arms to open jars and lift stuff

-not having to ban short skirts or low cut tops

-no children hogging the bathroom for hours on end

-not having to explain periods and then deal with the first one

-not having to pay for a big white wedding or even expensive prom dresses for that matter

-another boy (when older) to help mommy with handy things around the house like fixing stuff, changing the oil, cutting the grass, etc.

All things just to make you smile :)

We feel so blessed to welcome another boy into the Eyer family. I can't wait to see if he is going to look just like Camden or completely different.

Ps. funny thing from Camden...he still doesn't believe there is a boy in my belly. He will say things like "no you have a girl" and "I have a boy in my belly" Little confused.

Brian finally said yesterday "Camden mommy has a boy in her belly not a girl. Its a boy beacuse it has a penis." And he Camden just laughed and laughed....maybe it finally sunk in.

Mystery Baby Nugget #2

We had our 20 week ultrasound today. Brian, Camden, and Sarah all came along. I loved having them ALL there.

SOOOOO....yes we didn't want to find out. And, YES daddy knows mommy better than anyone and knew that I wouldn't be able to last. Yesterday, when I was thinking that tomorrow was going to be the day and knowing that I COULD find out if we wanted to made it all real. I got this sudden rush that I didn't want to wait.

I know it is a surprise either way, and I know it would have been SUPER COOL to wait till the baby was born but I guess I wanted to plan a little bit and didn't really know how much time for my crafty baby girl or baby boy stuff that I would be able to do after the arrival. And, its like Christmas day having your present sitting in front of you and someone telling you that you can't open it or know whats inside. I just can't handle that! HAHA

Brian and I talked last night and decided that we would find out but we wanted a cool surprise and not just having the ultrasound technician tell us.

We decided to have Sarah come with us and she would be the one to find out. Brian, Camden, Sarah, and I all watched while the ultrasound tech showed us the baby's heart, kidneys, stomach, head, legs, arms, fingers (that were in a fist), toes, etc. It was so exciting. I loved every minute of it. Then, the time came when she was going to the lower half. She knew we weren't going to find out so she said "Cover your eyes." Sarah took the flip video camera and recorded it all. The lady showed between the legs, typed Its a________on the screen and printed the picture out and put it in an envelope.

So, now Sarah holds ALL OF THE POWER! haha.

Brian and I are having a date night on Friday so when we drop Camden off at Sarah and Kevin's apartment Sarah is going to reveal to us the sex of the baby in a special way.

What's Happening???

Lots of things have been going on here in the Eyer Household since the last post.

Camden had his first dentist appointment. He did suprisingly well. He did have a very serious face the whole entire time though. (check picture below) :)

The appointment started off with them taking him back alone to get x-rays.. (mommy couldn't go back because she has a baby in her belly)

I am very surprised he let them take him back by himself. He was pretty nervous.

And, then when they took him to the room before the dentist came in he said "mommy is the tooth doctor a guy or a girl?" haha

Saturday, we went to a birthday party at a place called JAMBO. It was an indoor amusement park. It was really cool.

As soon as the party started Camden started at the mini golf...making Daddy proud.

Later on Saturday afternoon you would have thought the cupcake and ice cream at the birthday party was enough but we also got some super cool super hero spider man ice cream from the icecream man. (maybe mommy wanted some too)

Is It Fall Yet?????

This time I will start with a pregnancy update. I am 18 weeks 2 days in the picture below. Baby is the size of a bell pepper and weighs about 5 ounces. I am feeling great! I have felt the baby move this week too so that is definitely exciting. Of course I don't feel kicking yet just kinda feels like gas bubbles. HAHA. Peanut butter is still my number one craving, and there isn't much I have had an aversion to at all. I just love food plain and simple. :)

Last Sunday was the first Chicago Bears game and it aired on TV out here. So we were SUPER excited! Camden put on his jersey (which is way to small but had to wear it), Brian and I put on ours and we had Sarah and Kevin over for some pulled pork and snacks. It was soo yummy. We just love football season because it brings fall..well for most states. However, I can't complain because this week we have had rain AND it has been under 100. wooohooo.

Once a week after Camden's nap we take a little outing to our local library down the street. I just love our library. It is brand new and it is in the most beautiful location.

If we make it there before 4p.m. and the visitors center is still open we HAVE to go and check out the snakes, lizards, and bugs found in AZ.

Camden loves choosing the books that we will read that week before bed and I think he loves to help check them out EVEN more. ;)

2 weeks from today I have my 20 week ultrasound...But, we will NOT be finding out if we are going to have a little boy or girl. Staying Team GREEN. (It is just to torture all of you out there)

Annual Camping Getaway

This past weekend we took our annual camping trip up to Sedona/Flagstaff area. It was so nice to get out of the heat for a bit. I had to wear a hoodie and sweatpants to bed! I loved it. Camden LOVED it!!

One of his favorite things was playing with our friend Lindsay and Shawn's camper. He thought it was the coolest thing to go in and out.

And, he thought it was pretty cool that they had a bed in their camper too!

Not only did Camden dig in the dirt, play fetch with Lindsay and Shawn's dog, throw rocks, kick dirt, he played some baseball too!

Pregnancy update: I am 17 weeks and growing ;) Baby is about 5 ounces and 5 inches long. He/she is about the see of an onion.

Here is a funny pregnancy story because I know I had a couple when I was pregnant with Cam. Now, I have been pretty much eating everything and anything. But, my ultimate craving these days are peanut butter cookies. Now not just any peanut butter cookies, they have to be soft and fresh and not crumbly...make sense. ok. So anyway, Target has nestle tollhouse cookies that they bake in their bakery and put in a box that is usually a mixture of chocolate chip, double chocolate, and peanut butter but a couple of weeks ago I saw that they had a whole box of just PEANUT BUTTER. Yes...HEAVEN! Well, at the time I didn't get them but then last week I remembered they had them and I had to go to Target for some other things and just HAD to have them. So, I go by the cookie section...don't have them. I ask the lady at the bakery since I knew that they baked them there. She said oh sorry don't have any at the moment but I can make some and they would be ready to take in about 25 min. I was like oh that's ok. Then, she walked over to where they usually are and said well I can combine the mixed boxes and make you a peanut butter box but they aren't fresh. And, I said no that's ok (you can see why above...soft and warm) So, at this point it was looking like I was going to go home with no peanut butter cookies.

WELL, that awesome lady I was talking to said oh hunny here it seems like you really want those cookies...here's what I can do. Then, she came back from the back of the bakery with a bag of the peanut butter cookie dough balls. She told me exactly how they cooked them and gave them to me! It was amazing!

And, yes later that night I baked 4 and ate them all. Oh darn you peanut butter cookies. :)

Camden is such a good story teller. He's telling Aunt Sil a story after mommy went to work. I just love him!!!!

Pregnancy update: I am 16 weeks tomorrow and baby is about 4 1/2 inches long and the size of an avocado. My clothes are starting to get REALLY tight. I only have one pair of capris that fit me and that is only with my bella band. Oh well...its all for good :) I have my 16 week appointment on Wednesday. Here is my FIRST belly pic. :)
